💍 How to Use This Printable Ring Size Guide
This printable ring size guide is designed to help you estimate a UK ring size at home using an existing ring or a paper measuring strip. The most important step is printing at the correct scale. If your printer automatically shrinks or enlarges the page, the ring circles will no longer match their intended dimensions.
Before using any printed circle, set your printer to 100% scale or Actual Size and turn off options such as “Fit to Page” or “Shrink Oversized Pages”. After printing, measure the calibration box below with a physical ruler.
For important purchases, wide bands or expensive jewellery, confirm the final result with the jeweller selling the ring.
Step 1 — Check the 50 mm Calibration Box
After printing, measure one side of this box with a ruler. It should measure exactly 50 mm. If it does not, your browser or printer changed the page scale and the ring circles should not be used yet.
Step 2 — Match an Existing Ring to a Circle
Place a ring that fits the intended finger over the circles. The correct printed circle should sit just inside the ring's inner edge. Do not match the outside edge of the metal band.
Step 3 — Optional Paper Strip Method
Cut a narrow paper strip, wrap it around the finger, mark where it overlaps and measure the marked length in millimetres. Then compare the result with the circumference chart below.
Match the inner opening — not the outer band
The printed circle should align with the inside edge of a ring that already fits.
Use a Ring That Fits
Choose a ring worn comfortably on the same finger and hand.
Look Straight Down
Centre the ring over each circle without tilting it.
Match the Inner Edge
The printed outline should align with the ring's empty inner opening.

Print at actual size
Choose 100% or Actual Size in your print dialog. Disable any automatic scaling.
Verify the calibration box
Measure the 50 mm box using a physical ruler before trusting the ring circles.
Compare an existing ring
Place a ring over the printed circles and find the closest match to the inner opening.
Use circumference if needed
If you do not have a ring that fits, measure your finger with paper or flexible tape and use the chart.
Confirm before buying
Check the retailer's own size chart, especially for wide, comfort-fit or expensive rings.
- 🖨️Use 100% / Actual Size, not Fit to Page.
- 📏Always verify the calibration box with a real ruler after printing.
- 📄Use standard paper that lies flat and is not stretched or curled.
- 👁️Look directly down when matching a ring to a printed circle to avoid perspective error.
- ⭕Match the ring's inside edge, not the outside metal edge.
- 🏪Use professional sizing for engagement rings, wedding bands or valuable jewellery.
